Dear Delphin-Team,
Using CFD, I have calculated the wind velocity and direction in front of the façade of interest. Can I directly use the calculated values for [WindDirection] and [WindVelocity] in the detailed boundary conditions?
To put my question in other words: does Delphin implement a certain function to calculate the wind velocity and direction in front of the façade based on the orientation and the height of the facade? Or does it directly grab values from the weather data?
I also have a follow-up question in this regard: what is the keyword and unit for wind direction and velocity in the CCD climate file? Attached is the list of keywords in the Delphin help, wind direction and velocity are not in the list.
Thank you very much in advance!

Re: Wind velocity and direction
Hello,
You can use wind direction and velocity as climate files directly. We haven't a model for calculating this.
Do you use DELPHIN 6?
The list of keywords you showed me is from DELPHIN 5. The list is also not complete.
For Delphin 6 the keywords are: WindDirection and WindVelocity

Re: Wind velocity and direction
Thank you very much! What should the unit of wind direction be in the CCD file?
Re: Wind velocity and direction
The unit is Deg (Degree.)

Thanks!
