Re: 5-cm ventilated air gap
Hello, For a ventilated air gap its difficult to say. For non-ventilated air gaps you can use EN 673. Here you can find formulas for calculating the Nusselt number and from this thermal conductivity, transfer coefficient and vapor transport value. I have an Excel sheet that can help you. https://clo...

Re: Wind velocity and direction
Hello,
You can use wind direction and velocity as climate files directly. We haven't a model for calculating this.
Do you use DELPHIN 6?
The list of keywords you showed me is from DELPHIN 5. The list is also not complete.
For Delphin 6 the keywords are: WindDirection and WindVelocity

Re: Water formation in water_tight materials
Hello, I know thats a problem. Only the air elemnts direct at boundary can have a liquid transport to the adjacent elements. In reality air has a liquid transport but no capillary system. That means the only driving force is a forced pressure. This can be created by gravity. If you want to simulate ...

Re: Water formation in water_tight materials
Hello,
WATER_TIGHT means there is no liquid transport. The vapor diffusion is still there. With this moisture can be transported into the air gap and condensation can take place. If you don't want to have any moisture transport you have to set the VAPOR_TIGHT flag too.

Re: Expansion coefficients
Yes, the expansion coefficients are never used (D5 and D6).
We had applied for a project where we would have needed this data. But the project was ultimately not approved. But we had already changed the material specification and then left it at that. We might need it later.

Re: Expansion coefficients
Hello, The handling of the expansion coefficients is not fully implemented. As example you found an errror in the unit handling. I will check this and fix any error i can find. The Delphin 6 material viewer show only some basic properties. A real material viewer and editor is in work. Currently expa...

Re: U-Value of a ventilated façade
Hello, Normally a) is ok. For a 1D construction ' Single ' is Ok. For 2D you have to use ' Mean '. Method c) makes no sense for my point of view. A U-value should reflect the heat losses of a room through a wall. A heat loss means a loss from the room air. This leads to the fact that you have to use...

Re: High temperatures limit?
Rigth. This also means you need the transport properties necessary for vapor transport otherwise the solver will give you an error message. These are moisture storage function and vapor transport function (at least my value). Setting a tight flag means, this transport is not calculated and the prope...
