I am making a 2D simulation of a particular flat roof build-up.
There is one material with a non-rectangular shape, in this case a type of light-weight concrete (pink in the screenshots).
I want to have output of the total moisture mass in this material, so I created an output, selected the angular zone, and tried to assign the output (integrated moisture mass) over it.
The result is that the output is also assigned to the area 'within the L-shape', which is not the aim.
Attached are screenshots of:
- the model with nothing selected
- the selection I would like to assign the output to, highlighted
- the selection Delphin makes, when I try
Do you know why this happens and how I can correct it?
Thanks in advance,
Roel

Re: Non-rectangular area selections for output
Hello,
You can only select rectangles. If you have such a non-rectangular shape you need to assign all including rectangles separately. You can assign more than one rectangle to the same output. Only keep the output selected and assign one rectangle after the other.

Re: Non-rectangular area selections for output
Thanks a lot. I tried again in that manner and it works.
